Clowning Around 4 Kids | Come have some family fun! Saturday, Oct 2 from 6:30 - 9:30 at The Riverside plaza
This years Clowning Around 4 Kids is
finally here! There will be lots of things for the whole family to try and here
are just some of them; entertainment, bounce house, face painting, raffle
prizes, a lot of fun games and more! The funds raised at this event will support
our organization to continue providing programs for children
with special needs in our community. These programs include an autism clinic,
OT,PT, & speech therapy, mental health services and childcare to name a
few. When services for children are closing throughout the state, private organizations
like The Wylie Center provide a safety net of services for our
children.

Maintaining Intimacy in Difficult Times
|
October 13, 2010 from 6:30 - 7:45pm
The Wylie Center is offering a
series of classes on the Art of Intimacy. These lectures are presented
by nurses and clinical therapists for women and men raising children
with developmental delays, health issues, or behavioral problems. It is
our hope to help couples build a stronger connective thread so that they
are better able to cope with the struggles faced and to remember why
they fell in love in the first place.

Life Changing Contributions
|
The
Carolyn Wylie Center looks to
compassionate individuals and organizations to donate their time and
money to
help our organization thrive. This month we would like to thank
Riverside
Fraternal Order of Eagles for their generous hearts. The Eagles have
contributed
to the Wylie Center for over 20 years. The constant support from the
Eagles
grew out of a friendship between "Frenchy" and our founder Connie
Beasley.
Frenchy and Connie shared the same commitment to children with special
needs.
Since their first donation of toys in 1989, once a year the Eagles have
graciously donated a $1000 from the Jimmy Durante Children's Fund to The
Wylie
Center. The Eagles have helped the Wylie Center touch many lives with
their
donations.
