Back to School Tips!

As the new school year approaches, many parents are faced with the challenge of sending their child back to school. Going back to school is filled with a lot of uncertainty and change is a huge transition. Here is a list of ideas to help prepare a child for the new school year and to make the transition easier.
Reintroduce the concept of school by taking time to talk about it everyday.

Books, movies, stories about school can help to introduce the idea of school.
Talk to them about their teachers or friends they had this past school year.
Show them pictures from the last school year. This will help them remember positive experiences.
Put visual of their school or any school on the calendar.
Driving by the school is another good idea.
Slowly working them into the routine will be beneficial for both of you.
Get them excited about back to school shopping.
