This is one of my favorite Christmas songs! It really is quite a stark difference from "Silent Night" or "Away in a Manger", but much more accurate to how it probably actually happened!

Christmas Gift Ideas

The Range USA Reward Card is coming!

Here are the details:

Every time a transaction is made, Range USA will scan the reward card and add points to it based on the total value spent.

Once 500 points is on the card, the 500 points will automatically turn into $25 to be used at Range USA in the form of a gift card.

The $25 can be redeemed anytime or points can continue to be added and once another 500 points are reached another $25 will appear on the card.

Mississippi Enhanced Permit

Chip Holland, Range USA Training Director, is certified for the Mississippi Enhanced Permit.

The Mississippi gun permit does not require any training, because of this, there are very many restrictions on where a permit holder can legally carry.

Mississippi residents can apply for an Enhanced Permit once they have completed required training, OR if they have a current MS permit, they can take the training and get an endorsement on their current permit. Sign up for any permit class Chip Holland is teaching to receive this permit certificate for MS. Either way, the Enhanced Permit allows the permit holder to carry legally in far more places in Mississippi.

With the REGULAR GUN PERMIT it is A CRIME to carry a gun into:

Any police, sheriff, or Highway Patrol station or any prison or jail;

Any courthouse;

Any polling place;

Any public park;

Any school, college, university;

Any school, college, or professional sporting event;

Any establishment that serves liquor as their primary business (bar);

Any church or other place of worship.

With the ENHANCED GUN PERMIT, all of the restrictions ARE REMOVED, except:

Police, Sheriffs, or Highway Patrol stations, prisons, and jails; and courtrooms where court is in session.

Flea Market

Make plans to attend the Flea Market at the Memphis Agricenter, December 3-4. Range USA will have a booth and will have great deals and deep discounts on classes! Just in time for the holidays!

And, we also have a booth at the Flea Market in January! The January dates are 21st-22nd! Again, we will be offering great deals and deep discounts on classes!

Monthly Charities

Last November, I made mention of Range USA's efforts this year to help others and various charities throughout the year and not just in November and December. Well, we have this year's charities chosen and we started in February! So, please, donate to these worthwhile organizations. It could be as easy as droping the change from your transaction into the bucket. It's an easy way to make a big difference in people's lives, in Memphis and throughout the entire world!

8:00am until 10:00am all three days!

Match fee is $20 for the first run and $15 for each additional run.

GSSF membership is required to participate: $35 new member, $25 renewal (cash, check and credit card will be accepted).

Prizes include a Glock 19 pistol, plaques, field knives, t-shirts, and caps. Competitors must shoot in two out of three matches to qualify for prizes. The Glock 19 is awarded in a random drawing after all three matches. If you shoot the same gun in multiple runs only the first score will be entered into the drawing. The scores are totaled and averaged at the end of the 3-match series. If a shooter shoots in 2 of 3 matches the scores are totaled and divided by 2. The scores are listed highest to lowest and divided into thirds, top one-third is class A, second one-third is class B, and third one-third is class C. Plaques are awarded to the top competitor in each class and other prizes are awarded based on scores within each class.

Two targets are used per person - 20 rounds on one target and 30 rounds on the other. There are no penalties for misses or unfired shots. A bull's-eye target is used and is scored by adding the X's (10 points each shot), 10's (10 points each shot), 8's (8 points each shot), and 5 points for any other bullet on the target. There is a maximum of 500 points.

- Women Only TN Permit Class: For several years this has been a great gift to give and receive. It is so popular that Range USA runs two Women's Only classes in January - Saturday, January 14th from 8:30am-6:00pm

and Saturday, January 14th from 8:30am-6:00pm. The ladies class is great fun in a very comfortable atmosphere.

- Handgun Carry Purse: We have several in stock with more on the way. We can also order a specific style. These are Cornado leather purses that are stylish and reasonably priced allowing a lady to carry a handgun in a separate pocket with a Velcro holster to hold it in place.

- Chemical Spray: We have many options from the key chain, jogger, and handheld versions to a Kimber PepperBlaster that is the size of a pager and has two bursts that travel 90 mph and will reach 13 feet away. These make excellent stocking stuffers.

- Taser: We only sell the best and that is Taser International with a laser and a light. These can be carried in a holster, come in different colors, no permit is required and they can be carried in more locations than a handgun. The Taser causes pain and incapacitation when the probes are fired into someone and there is a back-up method of the drive stun that can be used if one or both probes miss them. If they only get a drive stun it is pain, but a lot of it. Trust me! I know first hand. I have "ridden the lightening" and experienced the drive stun. I am sold on the Taser and own one myself. It can be a ladies second best friend....next to her handgun.

- Personal Handgun Consultation: Ladies can spend an hour with me to help them narrow down or decide on the best handgun for them. Choosing the right handgun can be a daunting experience with so many opinions and influences. The best way to make that selection is to try them out - kind of like a "test drive". The cost is $60 and includes handgun use and ammunition.

- Gift Card: In any amount can be used on classes, a private lesson, a new handgun or home defense shotgun, a purse, or practice time!

- August 1st, 1776 began serving "plate suppers"! The plate lunches have been so successful, we have expanded it to the supper meal. The plate supper menu is different from the plate luch menu and is available Monday-Thursday from 5:00pm-8:30pm. Upgrades are available for the Monday night Date Nights.

- Saturday mornings at 1776 (starting at 8:00am) have become quite the place to be for breakfast! The menu consists of bacon, sausage, country ham, eggs, hashbrown casserole, quiche, toast, coffee, milk, and juice. Come out on Saturday mornings, enjoy a great breakfast and be the first ones on the range for some trigger time! Then you have the rest of the day for errands and honey-do lists.
