Greetings!

I'm not prone to sensationalism. I don't stir up the emotions of our customers by constantly reminding them of the state of the world and our city. I don't dwell on the evil in the world. I don't focus too much on the signs of the times. To the contrary. I'm a very optimistic, level-headed, stable, conservative kind of guy. I consider myself very informed as to the happenings of the world, yet, I usually don't get overly concerned with them. And, maybe because I know how the story ends and I know that I am on the winning side. But, has anyone else noticed that the world is on fire?!
With the violent unrest in Egypt, Libya, and the Middle East, the cost of oil on the verge of skyrocketing past $200.00 a barrel, the falsely inflated stock market, the fall of the US Dollar, and the political unrest here in our very own country, now more than ever, it is imperative that we all have our houses in order!
Now, don't let me get you worried by my opinions; do your own research. I just think everything right now is in a very fragile state. I don't believe that it would take much for the whole thing to come crashing down. And, there are people who would love for that to happen. People here in America. And, I think they are working to make that happen. Certain people believe that chaos is the perfect environment for their plans for socialism, or communism or progressivism to succeed. And, for some reason, I feel led to prepare for it this time. I've never felt this way before and I would be remiss not to share this feeling with you.
First, make sure your spiritual life is in order and you know that, no matter what happens, your eternal future is secure.
Second, make sure you are able to and have the means to defend yourself, your loved ones, and your property. If things get really bad, people will become desperate. And, Memphis is a crossroads to many places, so you could expect an influx of people.
Third, make sure you have plenty of food and water available. Many don't understand how fragile the food supply chain is. Grocery stores only have a few days supply of food on the shelves. They get trucks in almost everyday to replenish stock. It wouldn't take much or very long for the food chain to be severly disrupted.
Fourth, make sure your financial house is in order as much as possible. Do what you can to cut expenses and increase your savings.
Some might think this is crazy talk. Some might dismiss it as paranoia. Say what you will; wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry? Even if nothing ever happens, and I pray it doesn't, aren't those four little measures good advice anyway? Please, make sure your house is in order.

In Christ Alone,

Scott, Randa, Dylan, Parker, Caden, Barrett, Lucas, and the entire Kilby Family

Monthly Charities
Last November, I made mention of Range USA's efforts this year to help others and various charities throughout the year and not just in November and December. Well, we have this year's charities chosen and we are started in February! So, please, donate to these worthwhile organizations. It could be as easy as droping the change from your transaction into the bucket. Then each following month, I will let all of you know how much your generosity raised for that organization. It's an easy way to make a big difference in people's lives, in Memphis and throughout the entire world!
March's Charity - Shepherd's Haven

For March's organization, we chose Shepherd's Haven! This is a great organization that is making a real difference in the lives of some very special individuals. Please visit their website and take a look at all they are doing. And, if you feel led, please get involved -  www.shepherdshaven.org. ______________________________________________________________________________

 Shepherd's Haven

The story of Shepherd's Haven began with a meeting of a small group of Christian parents. The common bond between this group of parents was that each had a child who was mentally challenged. The focus of the meeting was to discuss the future of their special children. They researched vital statistics of Tennessee and found that approximately three percent of our state's population was mentally challenged. For Shelby County alone, that meant nearly 30,000 people could possibly use their help. They also considered what might happen to their own children as they, the parents, grew older and could no longer care for their children. They prayed and asked the Lord for wisdom and discernment.

What came out of that prayer was the Lord's leading to begin building homes where mentally challenged adults could live as a family. In 1991 they decided to purchase a beautiful piece of property in Fayette County. The 47 acres they purchased they decided to name Shepherd's Haven. After paying the land off in 1992 they began the process of working to build the first home. In August of 1996 they opened an eight bedroom home for mentally challenged men.

The Day Center

In February of 2006, another dream was realized. We started what we call The Day Center, which is a day-program which encourages the creativity of each individual. The Haven ministers to individuals (22 years or older) by providing a safe, exciting place to have day activities ranging from work related to fun-filled experiences in a Christian setting.

Gun Powder

Gun Powder is a recurring article in Libertas! It is written by a female, from a female's perspective, dealing with female topics, but intended for everyone's benefit! Enjoy!

Fund Raising Made Easy

Now it's easy for your marching band, cheerlading squad, t-ball team, youth group, football team, dance group, etc. to raise money! Range USA will designate a day for your group, you spread the word to anyone and everyone associated with the group of that day, tell them to come spend money at Range USA, and we will donate a percentage of those sales to your group! The hardest thing you have to do is to let everyone know what day is yours. If they plan on shooting, buying ammo, taking a class, or buying a gun, have them do it on your groups day! Then you will benefit from their sale. If you are interested in having a day for your group, email us - contact us. I will give you more details and we can discuss which day you are interested in.
