Greetings Network Member!

The Institute for Energy Systems Economic and Sustainability at FSU is pleased to announce our new Network of Energy Sustainable Communities website at  The website will archive survey documents and updates.  It will also provide links to resources to promote innovation and assist governments with bulk purchasing for investments in energy efficiency.
Our staff was attending the Florida Energy Systems Consortium in Orlando this week. It was nice to see some of you there.  The  next conference call will be Friday, October 8th, at 1:30 PM EDT.  Mark Johnson of the U.S. DOE will co-host the call.  On the line with us will be David Bennett, Division of State Purchasing Transportation & Energy Team Leader at the Florida Department of Management Services.  He will discuss and answer questions about the State Energy Savings Contract.
We plan to continue to hold conference call meetings on a bi-weekly basis and would like to standardize the schedule.  Since most local governing bodies meet earlier in the week, we are considering Thursday or Friday at either 11:00 AM or 1:30 PM on the regularly scheduled meeting of the network.  If you have a preference for a particular time, day or have other suggestions, please let me know at
