The Guardedly Optimistic View From Here....
In today's economic climate, it is often a challenge to remain an optimist. This is particularly true as it relates to the future of Xerox wide format equipment in North America.
Let me say first, that my faith in the future of Xerox wide format has been tested on numerous occasions since March. However, more now than ever before, I see foundation stones forming, while a hopeful ray of light shimmers for the future of Xerox wide format equipment in North America.
It has been some six months since Xerox made their announcement about the wide format markets of the US and Canada. In that time, much has transpired. We have all reflected upon our respective markets and future business plans. Many of you have shared your concerns about the loss of the Xerox brand in your areas and what negative affect that might have upon your future business, along with that of Xerox.
During this same time, Evergreen Technologies has been expanding its ranks and vision. Numerous former Xerox specialists, have been joining with Evergreen. Whether as employees or contractors, this growing team of experts is laying the ground work for an entirely different set of possibilities affecting the future of the Xerox wide format marketplace. Collectively, we absolutely refuse to allow Xerox wide format products to fade from the North American marketplace without a determined fight!
To that end, we have engaged in forming alliances strategically formed to grow the Xerox wide format business in North America. In combination with Evergreen, there are influential forces at work behind the scenes, which show great promise in aligning. These various interests are endeavoring to join, in order to continue providing Xerox wide format products in North America. All this, so long as those products can be provided in a cost competitive manner.
Stick with us as the threads of this effort continue to entwine in new and exciting ways. Like the famous motivational speaker, Zig Ziggler once advised, we at Evergreen believe "When there is faith in the future, there is power in the present."
At Evergreen, we are feeling the power!

Introducing the Ultimate 510 Solution
As most of you know, Evergreen has produced a series of parts designed to make the Xerox 510 far more reliable than it has ever been. Now, Evergreen proudly introduces a kit specifically targeted to virtually eliminate developer bead carry over.
From a technical standpoint, this kit contains four key elements:
- At the heart of this kit is a redesigned LED erase assembly. This assembly incorporates advanced high light output LED technology. In addition, more LED's have been added to the strip, which extends the range of discharge light to the outer edges of the drum. This greatly diminishes the tendency for leaking developer on the outer edges of the housing.
- A set of procedures which greatly increase the life of both the lower and upper BTR contacts.
- A set of nylon washers is included to replace the steel "E" rings on the BTR roller. These prevent possible shorting out of BTR bias voltage, along with the accompanying developer dump this condition otherwise creates.
- Finally, an adjustment procedure which enables adjustment of charge voltage on the drum to an optimum level. This adjustment often increases copy quality, while greatly reducing the chances of developer bead carryover.
A 510 in proper repair, using our developer seals in conjunction with this kit, will make developer bead carry a thing of the past!
Introducing the "Evergreen 510 Extreme"
Evergreen has recently begun producing refurbished low mileage 510's incorporating all of our high reliability parts. These 510's come with a one year parts warranty covering everything except the photoreceptor and cleaning blade kit. The 510 Extreme is only available through authorized Evergreen dealers.

Evergreen Continues the Flow
We were recently informed by a dealer that Xerox had discontinued 5R310 developer. This developer is used in the entire 30xx line, as well as all 8825 & 8830 machines. In a pinch, it is also frequently used for 25xx & 3001 machines.
We found the idea hard to believe that Xerox would discontinue selling this vital developer. So, we contacted Xerox and were relieved to learn that this was in fact not the case. Instead, while it is true that this developer is out of stock, Xerox is expecting to resupply this developer eventually. Unfortunately, a date has not been announced as to when the restocking by Xerox will occur.
Fortunately, so long as inventory lasts, Evergreen is able to supply this much needed developer at prices you may presently be paying from Xerox.
Call us today to place your order while supplies last.

Evergreen Throws The Switch
On The Xerox 721 & KIP 8000
Evergreen has begun production on a replacement developer roller for the Xerox 721 & KIP 8000 developer housings. As those who support either of these products knows, the life time for this roller is limited. Refurbishing the roller is possible, but eventually it must be replaced. Sourcing a replacement roller from either OEM is expensive. Evergreen will soon offer a reasonably priced replacement for this important part. In addition, once this roller is in stock, all refurbished 721 / 8000 developer housings from Evergreen will come with this new roller installed. See below, or call now to learn how you can receive an introductory discount on this part! |
Evergreen Helps Provide the Keys
Since Xerox announced Stop Order Taking (SOT) on all accessories, dealers around the country have been scrambling to find a way of filling this yawning need. Many dealers have once again turned to Evergreen for assistance. We have been aggressively working to secure a source of feature keys. We are exploring a source outside the US, which may prove the solution to this problem. However, until that source is secured, we do have a limited supply of feature keys available for sale. Despite the fact that these keys are in limited supply, we are sticking to the last announced Xerox dealer price list for sale of our stock.
Call Doug or Brad if you need a feature key for existing Xerox equipment.
