A Familiar Face is New to Evergreen
Douglas Adams is a name that has been familiar to the Xerox wide format community. Doug began his wide format career working for Bruning selling blue print equipment. In 1978, Doug launched his Xerox career as a Federal Account Manager. Subsequently, Doug worked his way up and through the ranks of Xerox, finally specializing in wide format products. Later, Doug became the National Sales Training Manager at Xerox's Leesburg Center. During the most recent chapter of his Xerox career, Doug served Xerox dealers as the Mid-Atlantic Channel Sales Manager.
Unwilling to let Xerox wide format dealers slip quietly into the night, Doug has joined forces with Evergreen Technologies as our Business Development Manager. We are fortunate and proud to have Doug as part of our team.

Setting The Record Straight
In our last newsletter, we failed to identify the fact that the Xerox announcement regarding wide format would only affect the markets in the US and Canada. We were gently reminded of this fact by the Director of Xerox Corporation Business Group Public Relations. So if you have not read it already, the following is the official news release from Xerox:
"Xerox will stop taking orders for wide format products in the U.S. and Canada in 2011, with specific timing based on inventory levels. Xerox's European and Developing Market operations will continue selling wide format products and will source new products.
Xerox prioritizes each investment, allocating research and development dollars to areas where the company can deliver the best value to the marketplace. As a result of this practice, Xerox has opted to not invest in wide format product engineering in 2011.
Customers will continue to have access to service support, supplies, media and parts from Xerox for their existing equipment for a minimum of five years from the last install of a particular product line. Customers with questions can contact their Xerox Account Manager. "
