"More than just another bike ride."
You've heard those words before, but they bear repeating.
That's because the Ride for Kids isn't just another bike ride. It's a family. It's a culture.
In these times, non-profits and for-profits alike are clamoring to get to a donor or consumer's dollar before the next guy beats him to the punch. Not at the Ride for Kids. Instead, agency executives from more than 30 of our state's leading youth-focused organizations are working TOGETHER.
Impossible? We don't think so.
At the end of the day, every organization we are affiliated with has the same ultimate goal in mind: to improve the lives of children, and give all children the chance to live as we would want our own children to live.
So to us, it's simple. We take all of these programs for at-risk kids - residential and community-based, educational and psychological, athletic and arts-driven, medical and cultural - and bond together to form an event that, arguably, does more that any other for children in our state.
With the Ride for Kids event just 4 weeks away, it's easy to let the mission get lost in the excitement of the event itself. That's why this is a better time than ever to remember, it's more than just another bike ride.
Take a moment, and think about how you can help support your little piece of this dynamic collaborative.
