e-Petition to restore rolling
30 yr tax exemption
Forum Member Carol raised an interesting post on our forum concerning restoring the FREE 30 Year Exemption for car tax. Although this is still a few years off for us to worry about knowing the speed of the government it would be worth adding your name. At the last look it was just over 5,000 and as you may be aware once the petition reaches over 100,000 it will have to be heard in parliament. Add your name to the Click here

VIDEO HELP GUIDES - See more video clips - Click here | Wheel Maintenance
We often find that with Figaros we purchase or ones which come in to us for repairs have the tool kits missing parts, spare wheels are in a poor state, parts missing or are non existent! We also know that an owner can damage the car by not fitting the spare correctly or jacking at the wrong point.
We thought it would be useful for owners to have a guide to the parts they should expect to see in the boot and also how to change the tyre. This may seem straightforward but we thought a guide would be useful.

QUESTION 1 Does the Figaro have a main beam warning light? | QUESTION 2 Scrollwork Bonnet Graphics | QUESTION 3 Immobilisers and ClassicLine Insurance? | Please excuse what may seem a dumb question but I have only had my Figgy a few days (after having wanted one for ages!) and have noticed that there doesn't seem to be a main beam warning light anywhere on the dash. There looks like a covered over little hole in the speedo face towards the bottom - should this be it, or were they never fitted? If it's a blown bulb are these easy to replace? Hope someone can help Iggyfiggy
ANSWER 1
Hi there and welcome to the club Don't worry, no question is regarded as a dumb one here, you should read some of mine! I am pretty sure there is a main beam light on the dash (been a while since I drove mine at night) check the fuses to start with. Update: Just checked and yes, the small dot between the fuel and temp guages should light up a bluey green colour when full beam is on. Caz

My Figaro has the traces of a scrollwork motif on either side of the chrome bonnet badge. I am a little worried about removing this in case the paintwork beneath ends up a different colour to the rest of the car. At the moment, the remains of the transfer give this area of the bonnet a mottled appearance. The only other option I can think of is to refresh the motif. Does anyone know where I can obtain one of these or get this work done? I have seen a couple of other Figaro's with the same motif so am guessing it may have been an optional extra when new. Got my renewal documents through from classic line yesterday and the price is about the same as last year which is fab 265 for me and husband, breakdown cover, fully comp with guaranteed value and business use. Can't complain. Happy with the price but had a note with it saying they require all figaro's to now be fitted with an immobiliser and i have 7 days from renewal to fit it ........eek I know this is because of the recent spate of figgy thefts but any idea how much this will cost me? Had budgetted for the insurance this month but not immobiliser and garage bills to fit it? thanks all Victora
ANSWER 3
Most companies are now recommending the fitting of a thatcham approved immobilser. We fitted one to Figgy for under 100 and its well worth the money! Kevin

About the people behind the Figaro Owners Club My son Daniel had always wanted a Figaro and after saving for years (plus a small contribution from his mum and dad!) he brought an Emerald Green one in May 2008. That was it - I was hooked too! Even now we spend many a happy weekend polishing her in the garage. We just love all that chrome... After buying the car we started searching the internet for ownership help and advice and although a forum existed there was no real club so in December 2008 we started designing and building the web site which took around 4 Months.
The club was formed in February 2009 and launched on 1st March 2009.
