What I have Learned About Starting a Business
The greatest lesson about business that I have learned, and want to share, is that starting a business takes intense preparation.
I have been an entrepreneur for many years. I started my first real business when I was in my mid twenties because I craved the independence that I thought it would give me, and thought that my creations would be loved and embraced by everyone I met.
This business was not the success I had hoped it would be, for good reason. I had the passion, but didn't have any of the expertise that I needed to succeed; I was ill prepared to run any kind of business and didn't know it.
Fortunately, I was able to see what I needed, in a very small way, and started studying. At first, I was so befuddled that I didn't even know what the questions were that I needed to ask. As I learned more, I found out how much bigger my challenge was then I expected. The more I learned, the more I realized I had more to learn.
After trying to create a couple of more enterprises without the proper tools I became convinced that without an education I
was stumped. I started reading more and sought out seminars and teachers that could give me guidance. The more I studied, the more I wanted to study. I finally had a grip on the questions; the search was in full bloom looking for answers.
Over the years, I have done a lot of studying and then a lot of writing so I could share what I had learned with others. I have created several ebooks to help you know what the questions are so
you don't have to "reinvent the wheel." I suggest taking advantage of every networking opportunity, call on Consultants when necessary, and study everything you can. Take advantage of all the opportunities that technology gives you, study hard and then go for it. You can be a success if you do your homework and be prepared.
