If you are using your checking account to send paper checks to pay your bills be careful not to include too much information. On the memo line DO NOT write your whole account number; just note the last four digits, the company already has the rest.  This will prevent all the people who

 have access to your

information during processing from having access to you account.

Creating Compelling Content

Among the latest buzzwords is "creative content."  What is "creative content"?  It also may be called "compelling content" but it is still the same thing, and a very important part of your marketing package. There is so much information on the internet that yours must be "compelling" to attract an audience.

With so many of us writing blogs today, and other published works, it is imperative that everything we write is timely, relevant, thoughtful, and informative, accuracy goes without saying, funny is a plus.

In order to be fully engaging you need to do a little homework before you start posting.  First, you have to identify the reason for your Blog, and who are you trying to reach with your message.  You should create a schedule of what you are going to post and when and where you are going to post it.  You will also need a way to measure your responses.  If you are not getting the responses that you expected you will have to go back to the drawing board to refine your approach.  Having a good plan makeshandwriting changing and updating much easier than just being random in your approach.

For many people the big question is what to write.   The easy answer is; write what you know.  This could be an article about your industry, a How To article, a review or your opinion of other author's work, or, maybe, a call to action.  Your area of expertise is probably a mystery to outsiders so whatever you write will be of interest.  Writing a benefit analysis of common news stories may interest a lot of readers, as does Community news.  Just be careful to avoid stale news or controversies that you haven't fully researched; you don't want to invite negative reactions.

Keeping your writing informative and interesting will build a following that you can tap into to grow your business and help you succeed.

Your Money - Your Life

Save Money and Protect Your Car

There are a number of things you can do to manage how much gas you have to buy and prevent unnecessary repairs.  With gas prices over $4.00, every penny you can save can be a good thing.

Here are four tips that can help you save money.

  1.  Fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that as the ground warms up, the tanks buried there also get warmer. Colder fuel in the morning is denser so you are paying for gas, not vapors.
  2. Don't pump gas at the fastest setting.  This will minimize the vapors that are passed back to the storage tanks.  This helps you get full value for your gas purchase.
  3. Fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL.  The space between your current fuel level and the top of your tank is all vapor because gasoline evaporates so quickly.  That vapor will push back to the station's tank's which means you are giving back gas that you have already paid for.
  4.  Don't buy gas while the station is getting its delivery.  Pumping fuel from the truck to the underground tanks can stir up any settlement in the tanks.  This gunk can be passed to your car causing potential, expensive repairs.

Anything you can do to save money and better manage your fuel use passes on to the rest of the World, so this is an easy, painless way to go green, with benefits for your family.
