Creating Compelling Content
Among the latest buzzwords is "creative content." What is "creative content"? It also may be called "compelling content" but it is still the same thing, and a very important part of your marketing package. There is so much information on the internet that yours must be "compelling" to attract an audience.
With so many of us writing blogs today, and other published works, it is imperative that everything we write is timely, relevant, thoughtful, and informative, accuracy goes without saying, funny is a plus.
In order to be fully engaging you need to do a little homework before you start posting. First, you have to identify the reason for your Blog, and who are you trying to reach with your message. You should create a schedule of what you are going to post and when and where you are going to post it. You will also need a way to measure your responses. If you are not getting the responses that you expected you will have to go back to the drawing board to refine your approach. Having a good plan makes
changing and updating much easier than just being random in your approach.
For many people the big question is what to write. The easy answer is; write what you know. This could be an article about your industry, a How To article, a review or your opinion of other author's work, or, maybe, a call to action. Your area of expertise is probably a mystery to outsiders so whatever you write will be of interest. Writing a benefit analysis of common news stories may interest a lot of readers, as does
Community news. Just be careful to avoid stale news or controversies that you haven't fully researched; you don't want to invite negative reactions.
Keeping your writing informative and interesting will build a following that you can tap into to grow your business and help you succeed.
