       Building relationships is crucial to the success of your business.  People do business with people they know and trust.                              Trying to promote sales without first building a foundation         will not succeed.
       One of the best tools you can use for relationship building is Linkedin.com.  There is no charge for this social network which is focused on the business community.  On it you can create a profile that represents who you are and what you do.  You can use it to promote your business, your philosophy, or your  mission.              Linkedin also supports a wide array of special interest groups.  You can interact with like minded people for advice and support or target groups that are specific to your market.  There is no limit to the number of groups you can affiliate with.  It is also very easy to create a group if you have a special interest that isn't already represented.
       Social media affords you the opportunity to reach a wide range of potential customers or clients with a very small investment of time and an even smaller investment of money.  You can adjust your settings to allow you to receive email updates whenever there is activity in the groups you are following; you can also set them to only allow only certain people access to your profile.
       Linkedin is also a very good source to use for job hunting.  You can post a link to your resume, post a job that you have to offer, write a reference for an associate, or just keep your groups updated on the state of your industry.
       It is definitely worth your time to explore linkedin.  You will find a world of new opportunities that will help you make your business the success it is meant to be.
