5 Rules for Dating Your Spouse
Married life is hard work. Between jobs, kids, social obligations, family and friends, your relationship is often the last thing you put effort into.
When you first started out, you likely made sure to take the time needed to go on dates, spend quality time together and get to know each other. Once you said, "I do," you probably breathed a sigh of relief thinking you'd never have to date again. You were wrong.
One of the most important things you can do for your relationship is to have weekly date nights. No matter how much you have going on during the week, how long you've been together, how many kids you have or how much you hated dating when you were single, there is no excuse to not take an evening out of the week to reconnect with your partner.

Join our Stepmom Support Group: Sept. 2 - 30
Being a stepmother is by far the hardest role in the stepfamily system. And this isn't just a two-time stepmom telling you that -- it's what a study of 1,400 stepfamilies discovered. While being a stepfather is difficult as well, stepmothers can receive a level of anger from stepchildren and ex-spouses that stepfathers rarely experience.
If you are a stepmom, know that you're not alone, and that you can get help if you are struggling with the unexpected challenges of stepfamily life.
Join The StepFamily Center's Stepmom Support Group and share your experiences with other stepmoms who understand what you are going through. It can be a wonderful and healing experience for both you and your stepfamily.
The group runs for five weeks, beginning September 2. The group will be held Thursday evenings, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m., through September 30. The cost is $180. Join our Stepmom Support Group now. |
