Lake County Regional Planning Commission

to Discuss Map Amendments

 

Public Invited to Comment on Proposed

 Amendments to Future Land Use Map

 

The Lake County Regional Planning Commission (RPC) has scheduled a hearing on Tuesday, August 17, to consider amendments to the Lake County Regional Framework Plan Future Land Use Map. Changes are necessary in order to keep the map consistent with recent County actions. 
 
In November 2009, the County Board adopted a resolution endorsing the Unified Vision Document for the Central Lake Thruway.The Central Lake Thruway Vision addresses the mile-wide, Route 120 corridor and proposed by-pass, from US Route 41 to McHenry County. Visit
www.120Now.com for more information. Other changes to be considered reflect current development, Forest Preserve District acquisitions, and future land use designations for the Central Range/Heartland Agreement (in the Grayslake area).

 

INFORMATIONAL OPEN HOUSE:

Property owners and residents are invited to attend two informational open house meetings.

·         Wednesday, August 11, 6 to 8 p.m.
·         Tuesday, August 17, 2 to 4 p.m.
LOCATION: Lake County Central Permit Facility, Conference Room A, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville, IL.

 

REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING:

The RPC will accept public comment on the proposed amendments prior to making a recommendation to the Lake County Board.

Prescription Drug Card 

   Prescription Drug Card
 
County residents can take advantage of a prescription drug discount card program.  The free card that is accepted at most pharmacies offers average savings of 20 percent off the retail price of commonly prescribed drugs.  This is intended for people without prescription coverage or on medicines not covered by your plan.  The card may also be used where accepted to fill prescriptions for pets.
