Software and Hardware Maintenance Explained
| |
Software Maintenance- The majority of our customers elect to have software support contracts with MVi which includes a toll free number with unlimited phone support to our
office in Salt Lake City. Additionally all of our support technicians have cell phones where they can be reached almost anywhere and
at any time.
Our software support agreement also includes ongoing updates so there are no additional charges for new features and enhancements. However, if an on-site
visit is required, the customer will need to cover the cost of the travel expense
as well as MVi's on-site daily rate.
Hardware Maintenance-
MVi is a certified repair facility for Canon scanners. If a scanner
that is covered under maintenance fails, we will overnight a loaner scanner and will ship your machine back to our office for repair. This ensures you will always have your original scanner returned to you.
Shipping to and from
MVi is covered under the maintenance program. By using this method we are able to minimize the annual maintenance charges and allow you to receive your original scanner back in a timely manner.
Please contact us for details on other hardware items covered under our exchange program.
If
you feel your scanner is in need of some attention, please feel free to give us a call and we
will arrange for you to get you up and running smoothly in a timely manner. Please contact Tyler at 888.684.6684.

New Tool for MVi's Check 21
|
With all the recent changes and consolidation in the
Corporate Credit Union world, many of our customers are asking us if we can
provide them with a Clearinghouse independent Check 21 solution. The short answer of course is YES! MVi's check 21 programs function with any clearinghouse you
choose. We support both branch and teller capture as well as both the
receive and return functions as well. In addition, we can also provide you with the ability to serve up the
check images in conjunction with your home banking provider via our E-View
program by allowing you to store your cleared images in your Laserfiche server
and serve them up from within your current home banking provider saving you
both time and money in the end. We are currently integrated with several home banking
providers with more to come online during the course of the year. In addition, several new features in our Check 21 suite make
this product even more exciting. The MVi Check21 product suite has a free new tool! The MVi
ICL Explorer gives Check21 users the power to peer inside Image Cash Letter
(ICL) files to see the actual contents. File totals, creation dates, and even
check images are all accessible. The check records are displayed in the order
they are stored in the file, greatly decreasing research time when an item is
rejected by the Federal Reserve or another clearing house. The ICL Explorer
offers the ability to search for check records based on amounts or MICR data,
and even allows individual records to be printed directly. Still need more
information? Power users can switch to the ICL Explorer's 'Advanced View' mode
to see the raw record structure of the ICL file. MVi's older ICL Viewer tool is still available in the Check21 products for
quick reports, but the ICL Explorer offers a whole new level of power when
researching ICL file. The new MVi ICL Explorer is included with versions of C21 Forward, C21 Receive,
and C21 Return that have been released over the last year, and it is available
by upgrading any of these products to the latest release. Please contact your sales rep at MVi to learn how we can
help you improve your C21 offerings.

Tech Tip: Laser Check Printing Issues
| There are times in Laser Checks when
you have completed a check in the print queue and nothing is printing.
We recommend the following steps before calling MVi for a support in order to save you time and allowing you provide your members with the best service. - First, unplug the power cord from the printer for 5-10 seconds
then plug it back in and power on the printer.
- Remember, the printer may be in lock mode due to a weak or bad signal. A reboot will resume
the printing and the page should print out within a minute after start up.
If you are still having issues with your checks not printing we encourage you to call and log a call with our support department and we will get you up and printing as soon as possible. To reach our support department, call us at 888-684-6684 or email them at support@mviusa.com. |
| A Message from the President, Bill Poulter | |
There is an old axiom that states, "Out of chaos comes
opportunity!" Throughout history opportunities have grown out of
adversity. Our early forefathers toiled and struggled when they first
arrived in this great country, yet in an incredibly short historical time frame
we have grown to become the most powerful and wonderful nation on earth. The past two hundred and fifty years have given rise to
wonderful opportunities that evolved from what some would consider dire
circumstances. Just look at the growth that has occurred since the great
depression of the 1930's. The lesson to be learned here is that there are
always opportunities, in good times and bad, for those with the "Millennial"
(sic) Vision to see them and act accordingly. The past few years have been an incredibly trying time for
many, yet in the midst of the economic woes, several companies have thrived
because they recognized opportunity and aggressively went after it; of notable
mention are Facebook with its social networking website, and Apple with its
iPhone. Now whether or not you are a fan of Facebook or the
iPhone, it would hard to dismiss the resounding success each of these companies
have had in the midst of severe economic turmoil, yet each has shown enormous
growth and financial wherewithal because of the willingness to push forward
instead of pulling back. So what is the commonality these two companies share?
Innovation, confidence and a evangelistic belief in what they are
doing. They created their own paradigm amidst "the sky is falling"
paradigm ascribed to by too many of their contemporaries. On a significantly smaller scale, Millennial Vision has also
succeeded over the past thirteen years because of your willingness to embrace
our innovations, products and support. In return, we have improved our
technologies and continue to develop new applications that help you succeed in
your respective marketplace. So what does the future hold? I can tell you from
Millennial Vision's perspective that many new opportunities now exist because
of prevailing economic conditions. Many of us have been forced out of our
complacency with a new energy to look for better efficiencies and innovative
ideas that will enable us to succeed. In doing so, Millennial Vision has
identified new products, ideas and markets that will continue to benefit both
our current customers and those we have yet to reach. Millennial Vision is pushing ahead, and I think that when we
look back a few years from now, we'll be able to say these were in fact great
times for all of us because we had the vision and foresight to look to the
future. I invite you to stay tuned in the coming months and years as we
announce new innovations, new ideas and new opportunities that will be of great
benefit to you and your business. Thank you for your continued support and confidence in
Millennial Vision. I fully anticipate your satisfaction and pleasure
in Millennial Vision's innovations will continue to grow. Sincerely,
Bill
