Music and Dogs? People are Talking and Through a Dog's Ear is Listening
Susan Wagner on NPR
Join me with veterinary neurologist Susan Wagner, co-author of the book, Through a Dog's Ear. Ann Fisher interviewed us on Ohio NPR Affiliate WOSU, on her show All Sides . For a great inside look into how sound environments affects two and four leggeds alike, listen to our informative conversation recorded January 27.
Interview on Dogster.com
I was honored to be asked for an interview with Maria Goodavage, Dogster's main blogger. For the Love of Dog Blog will publish on Wednesday, February 10. If you click earlier
than that, you'll be delighted to read very interesting blogs by
Maria and other guest bloggers. The pictures alone are worth the click!
Through a Dog's Ear on "It's Me or the Dog"
I am a huge fan of
Victoria Stillwell . So I was thrilled when the producer of the Animal Planet show "It's Me or the Dog" called to ask if she could play our music in a training session with dogs. The show aired on January 16, and Music to Calm your Canine Companion
was very effective in calming high energy Great Danes.
I knew the music
was used in taping, but didn't know in advance that it was going to air. I
actually read about it the next day on our Facebook wall. I loved all the
comments from fans who saw it and was particularly delighted to read Joanna
Moritz's comment: "I saw it too. I was
like, HEY, it's my doggy music!! :)" To read more about the wonderful work Victoria Stilwell is doing click here.
Read what Trainers are Saying I had the pleasure of meeting Casey Matthews Lomonaco of Rewarding Behaviors when we presented at the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Conference in October. Click here to read how the music has helped her dogs, her client's dogs, and how it's even helped Casey conquer a lifetime fear. Other recent blogs by me include The Intentional Purpose of Music, Am I Really Jealous of My Dog's Other Handler?, Is It All about Breeding, and more.
