Classic Cars, Food and Wine, Great Driving Destinations Calendar for 2011
Here's the one you've been waiting for -- our Fourth Annual Something-to-do-with-classic-cars-food-or-wine-almost-every-weekend-of-the-summer Calendar! This year: 44 events from May to October -- print it out, put it next to your computer, and promise to go to at least 22 of them!

If you're in the Boston area you can always rely on the Larz Anderson Auto Museum schedule of lawn events for a fun, low-cost treat. We also list the series of seven shows at Faneuil Market hosted by the Boston Area MG Club.
One of my favorites is the annual car show hosted by Historic New England
in Lincoln. There's a wide range of eclectic cars; it's a beautiful setting, and I've gained a customer each year! Mark your calendar for July 17.
On the wine and food front, there are now two options in Newport - one in August and another in September. An embarrassment of riches!
I'm pleased to say that I did get to some more vintage racing events last summer - most memorably, on Labor Day weekend at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. Not only did I get to see some great races but also spent some quality time wandering through the paddock, and took a drive around the track as a member of the Porsche Platz! Lime Rock is a wonderful bucolic location where you can camp, picnic, and get close to the action. Check out the schedule at http://www.limerock.com/index.php.
Despite my best efforts last year I didn't reach one of my goals - to attend the big-time rally event in New England, the New England Forest Rally. So, I'll try again this year! It happens in Maine and is hosted by the Sunday River Resort. It promises to have all the crazy slides, jumps and spewing dirt that you see on Speed Channel rally coverage.
