Greetings!
On behalf of
The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, I would like to
invite you to the tenth annual Legislative
Summit on the Environment. The event
will be held on Wednesday, December 2,
2009 from 8:30 am to 3:00
pm at the Jaycees Riverfront Boathouse in Hartford.
Since 2000, the CTLCV Education
Fund has hosted this conference to provide environmental advocacy
groups from across the state an opportunity to address pressing
environmental issues and discuss proposals for the upcoming legislative
session.
The goal of
this event is for environmental leaders to share information and sort through
legislative issues prior to the 2010 legislative session. The gathering includes both environmental
groups and legislators. Last
year, 150 participants representing 40 environmental groups met to
network and discuss environmental issues to be addressed during the 2009
legislative session. We anticipate similarly strong turnout again this
year.
Please mark
your calendars and be sure to join us for this unique opportunity to build
on successful collaborative efforts from the past and find new
ways to support one another's efforts in the future.
