An All Exclusive Kids Club. Sign up Your Kid Today For FREE and Enjoy the Blessings of Gardening with Your Child! We will be doing special PRIZES and CLASSES especially for kids at a discounted rate for All FGMN Club Members. SPECIAL DISCOUNTS FOR PARENTS TOO! How It Works: FGMN was created by Beier's Greenhouse to encourage an early love of planting and this is done through special planting classes at a discounted rate and many free and exciting activities! Each Child will Make a Chart, and for every Beier's Greenhouse FGMN activity that the child participates in (ex. Bring back a Coloring Page to the front counter of the store), they will receive a sticker to put on their chart. Once a child collects 10 stickers, they will receive a special prize! LET'S GET PLANTING MINNESOTA! How To Join:Bring your child into Beier's Greenhouse and check out our NEW display by the front counter. Parents will need to: - Sign the Permission Form.
Children will need to:
- Sign the Permission Form.
- Fill out their Sticker Chart and Return to the Beier's Front Counter.
- Bring some fun coloring sheets home and get a sticker for each one that the child returns!

Quick Radish Tips
- Normal planting time starts now and continues all summer.
- Minimum ground temp must be 40 degrees or higher.
- If you grow white icicle radishes, try the tops in salad.
- Early varieties typically mature in three to four weeks, and may be planted at any time.
- Mid-season varieties take 40-60 days to mature.
- Winter radishes mature in 60-70 days, so keep that in mind when planting.
- If you like rows, sow thinly and cover with 1/4 inch of soil. Multiple rows should be 6 inches apart. Thin to 2 inches apart as they grow.
- Radishes thrive in pots and containers and scattered in handy places in the garden.
- Hot weather makes radishes bolt and can turn them bitter.
- Shade your radishes by growing under tomato, pepper or corn plants.
- Water frequently. Radishes don't like to dry out.
- Wood ashes make a very good soil amendment for radishes, as they add potassium and ward off root maggots.
