The Herbal Landscape
Herbs Are Delicious, Nutritious, and Healthy
Can you identify the plant pictured at the right? It's a baby epazote, growing happily in our greenhouse last season. Don't know what an epazote is? We'll teach you about this plant and many more right in this column.
Beier's will carry a number of varieties of herbs again this year: basils, thymes, mints, rosemaries, lavendars, oreganoes, and many, many others. Each has its own growing likes and dislikes, so read this column every week to discover how to grow successful herbs--whether it's a little pot of basil or a large spread of every kind of herb imaginable. We'll have tips on how to use them, and not always for eating pleasure.
