Herby Beer Bread Serves 6

3 cups all purpose flour 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves, minced 1 teaspoon dried lavender flowers, minced 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves, crumbled 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, finely grated 12 ounces dark beer 1 teaspoon rolled oats, sunflower seeds or sesame seeds
Heat the oven to 375 degrees. Combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, herbs, and cheddar cheese in a mixing bowl. Stir in the beer and mix until combined.
Spread in a greased 8 inch loaf pan; top with rolled oats, sunflower seeds or sesame seeds.
Bake until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Serve warm from the oven or toast any leftovers the next day.
