The Beautiful Landscape
It's Time to Get Ready!!
Your summer gardens will be much happier with a little up-front tender loving care.
Here are 17 tips to prepping your veggie or flower garden for best success.
- Check your soil before you plant. Plants need rich, loose soil to grow lush and full. If you have heavy, clay soil, mix sphagnum peat moss liberally into the soil to loosen the clay. Sphagnum peat will also keep sandy soil from drying so quickly. You may also add well-rotted manure. This makes the soil richer and helps loosen the soil as well.
