If you missed it before, Saturday, May 24 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., the Master Gardeners are here again to answer all your questions about everything.
Stop by Beier's any time between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to visit with the Master Gardeners. They'll take any and all questions about annuals, perennials, vegetables, trees, and complimentary plants.
If they don't know the answer, they'll research your questions. But I bet they'll know the answers right on the spot!
It's not often you get to pick an expert's brain, so don't miss this opportunity.

May 26: Memorial Day
Remembering those who have served
|
Memorial Day is set aside to commemorate our men and women who have died in military service. It's been celebrated in the United States since the end of the Civil War.
According to Yale University historians, the first Memorial Day was celebrated in 1865 in Charlston, North Carolina. The site was a former Confederate prison camp as well as a mass grave for Union soldiers who had died while held captive. A parade of thousands of freed blacks and Union soldiers was followed by patriotic singing and a picnic.
Many people celebrate Memorial Day by decorating the graves of all family members and not just those who have died in military service. We at Beier's Greenhouse are proud to contribute to this honored tradition by planting hundreds of memorial baskets for families in our area.
Thank you to all who have given us the opportunity to plant baskets. We're happy that our beautiful geraniums and cascades of greenery can be used as reminders in this way. |
