Hello!
Great news!! We are now open until 7PM every Friday! Get a babysitter, do some shopping, and then maybe go out to dinner or a movie!! Meet your friends and chat while you shop!
If you have too many grocery or shopping bags piling
up in a closet somewhere, you can bring them to us. We will be happy
to re-use them here at Mother & Child.

Do
you want to plan an event that emphasizes time spent with loved ones
and de-emphasizes store-bought gifts? Do you want to give a special

We
all love giving and receiving gifts; it's important to our culture and
good for the spirit. When the gifts we buy don't match our values,
however, they can distract from, rather than deepen, the meaning behind
an event, despite the best intentions of those involved. The cost to
gift-givers-not to mention the environmental impacts-also adds up quickly.
Fortunately,
for many brides, grooms, parents-to-be, and other gift recipients, less
truly is more. By encouraging non-material, second-hand, homemade, and
environmentally friendly gifts, we seek to continue the proud tradition
of gift-giving while helping celebrants focus on what matters most: a
joyous commemoration with loved ones that honors the important moments
in their lives.

May Product Highlight: re-useable instead of disposable
Bring your own water or drink from home. This will save you money and reduce the number of plastic bottles you need to recycle.
Recycling is better than using new raw materials, but recycling still requires energy and resources to get the used bottles to the recycling plant, and to make them into new products.
Re-using your Klean Kanteen is better for the environment and better for your health, AND it will save you money over buying single-use bottled-drinks. :)We sell Klean Kanteens in a variety of colors, so that each person in the family can have their own color!BTW: the Klean Kanteen and the crocheted bottle holder with the long, shoulder strap would make a great Mothers' Day gift for any Mom who likes to walk.________________________________________________________

Consignment News
We are now accepting Summer clothing!
Generally, we are looking to accept items that
families will be shopping for in June/July:
Note: We are no longer able to take toys due to more strict Government regulations.
This week we need more:
safety gates, pack n play playpens
metal-framed, hiking backpacks
really nice-condition joggers
sit n stand strollers
booster high chairs, potty chairs,
communion outfits for boys
mall brand teen clothing for boys and girls
baseball pants and baseball cleats (cleaned thoroughly)
We look through up to 30 consignments:
Mon 10-6:30
Wed 10-6:30
Fri 10-6:30
Sat 10-6:30
(Please do not bring more than 30 with you. It is too
crowded in the backroom for you to find a spot to sort and count out 30
items while you are here. We appreciate your adherence to this policy
and so will the consignors who are in line with you. :) )

Tip of the week:
Are you having trouble finding clothing for your preteen's changing body? At Mother & Child you will do well to look in the size 10, 12, 14/16 racks AND look in the "big boys'" and/or "junior" girls' clothing sections. These sizes are generally, but not always taller and slimmer than the 10-16. Also, we have quite a selection within the 10-16 sizes which often come in slim, regular and husky sizes.__________________________________________________

Spring is here and now is the perfect time to plan a trip to the Back Bay in Boston! Plan to walk around the Public Garden, take a ride on the Swan Boats, grab lunch at an outdoor cafe and... visit Keara at
Oak,
245 Newbury Street. --right next door to DeLuca's Market.
Spring is also a great time to visit Paul at
1 World Trading Co.
at 111 Main Street, Nashua. If you can plan to spend the afternoon, you may like to have a salon treatment at Verde, a green salon and then have lunch at the Seedling Cafe!
