If you have too many grocery or shopping bags piling up in a closet somewhere, you can bring them to us.  We will be happy to re-use them here at Mother & Child.

I found some actual statistics at a website for Gaia Movement:

"Help save the Environment.
By donating/buying unused clothes you contribute to the good health of our planet. Production of new cotton as well as other textile fibers puts a strain on the environment:
To produce 1 lb. of clothes -that is 1 pair of trousers - requires on average:
 10,000 lb. of water
 0.5 lb. of fertilizers
 0.4 oz. of pesticides
and results in emissions of:
 6 lb. of greenhouse gases
When you donate clothes for reuse and recycling you contribute to saving more than half of this."

Consignment News
We are now accepting Summer clothing!    
Generally, we are looking to accept items that families will be shopping for in June/July:
March 31 was the deadline for accepting prom items. 
Note:  We are no longer able to take toys due to more strict Government regulations.

This week we need more:
safety gates, pack n play playpens
booster high chairs, potty chairs,
communion outfits for boys
mall brand teen clothing for boys and girls
We look through up to 30 consignments:
  Mon 10-6:30
  Wed 10-6:30
  Fri 10-6:30
  Sat 10-6:30
(Please do not bring more than 30 with you.  It is too crowded in the backroom for you to find a spot to sort and count out 30 items while you are here.  We appreciate your adherence to this policy and so will the consignors who are in line with you.  :) )
