Product Highlight

Bamboo clothing and accessories
kicky pants

This fabric is breathable and luxurious-feeling.  Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-septic.

The positive results of wearing Spun Bamboo clothing go well beyond the consumer's enjoyment of soft, breathable, moisture-wicking, organic fabric, but also include benefits that can affect the entire global community.

Purchasing and wearing Spun Bamboo promotes and supports the growth of our bamboo plantations which are harvested on a rotational basis. That means that while other crops like cotton must be entirely decimated at the time of harvest thereby causing bare soils to bake and release more carbon into our atmosphere, Spun Bamboo plantations are harvested in portions at a time.

Wanna join a CSA,
but don't have time to work or even do a weekly pick-up?

Ben Brewster, of the Soccer Farm in Amherst has a solution for us:
You can have your share of each weekly harvest delivered to Mother & Child, and pick it up here on pick-up day.  Not sure if  pick-up day will be Tuesday again this year.  We will wait until the season is closer to confirm.  If you want to give this a try, but don't know if you'll be able to use up the veggies/fruit each week, try splitting a share with a neighbor.  This is an affordable way to give it a try and you can take turns picking up your food!
The Souhegan Soccer Farm CSA is a community supported agriculture project and peaceful getaway located on 60 acres of fields and forest in Amherst, NH. We grow farm fresh produce organically without the use of commercial fertilizer and pesticides. Each year we have a bountiful supply of salad greens, herbs, onions, garlic, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, peas, beans, strawberries, eggplant, squash, carrots, peppers, pumpkins, and flowers. Community participants are welcome every week to join us in weeding, planting, picking or distributing produce on pick-up days.

You can visit http://www.bbsoccer.com/farm/  for more info and for shareholder pricing.

Enjoy a weekly supply of same-day fresh produce, full of flavor and nutrition.
Gain satisfaction knowing how and where some of your food is grown.
Participate in special Soccer Farm events designed for you and your family: hayrides, potlucks, and other Soccer Farm fun.
Access 60 acres of farm and forest for picnics, birthdays, and hikes.
Share with your children the excitement, knowledge, and skill necessary to produce a good crop.

Sharing Ideas
Money-saving ideas from customers and employees at Mother & Child:

Tip of the week:
This one is for families who are heading to Disney in April...
We heard from more than one family who was heading to Disney World during February vacation, that they were shopping for the Disney tees, and accessories here at Mother & Child before the trip!  What a great idea!  They found tees, Princess dresses, pajamas, and sandals to wear during vacation, and they spent a fraction of what they would have spent if they bought them in Disney shops!

Hope you will stop in soon and see how great the store looks!   It is Spring Break time, and so the college girls will be working, too.  Welcome home to Persia and Leah!
