Our Family of Shops...

1 World Trading Co. Where you will find
fair-trade, locally-made and "green" products in a beautiful
and friendly Downtown Nashua shop.
路 Fair-trade
is commerce that seeks to create positive change, often in
developing countries. It empowers poorer communities to improve
their living standards in a way that is healthy and
sustainable.
路 The
purchase of locally-made products keeps dollars
within a local community while
reducing environmental impact. This is true because
the items have not been shipped to a distribution
center and then re-shipped to individual stores.
路 Environmentally-responsible
products are more and more in demand as consumers
seek to live a "greener" life. Come visit us for simple steps to green living.

Oak is a boutique in Boston for all things handmade. Buying handmade helps to build community, and establish new artisans. Buying Handmade makes for better gift-giving.
The
giver of a handmade gift has avoided the parking lots and long lines of
the big chain stores in favor of something more meaningful. If the
giver has purchased the gift, s/he feels the satisfaction of supporting
an artist or crafter directly. The recipient of the handmade gift
receives something that is one-of-a-kind, and made with care and
attention that can be seen and touched. It is the result of skill
and craftsmanship that is absent in the world of large-scale
manufacturing.

Consignmor News
It is wonderful and crazy!!
We have seen a magnificent increase in the number of parents who are interested in recycling their children's clothing. On every consignment day in September there were more consignments than we usually see in two or three days!! We are
reminding you --and asking you to remind your friends-- that it is best if
you call within the hour that you want to bring consignments to ask if we
are able to take them. Thank you. :) We do answer the telephone staring at 9 AM in the mornings.
603 886 6727 -ask for a business card during your next visit.
more reminders:
1. please do not park in the truck-turn-around,
and please use the back entrance for loading and un-loading only.
Please pull around front to park after unloading consignments.
2. please sort and count your items at home, as our consignment area is
small and gets congested. Additionally, we find that many people are
thinking that we will TAKE 30 items and
so they will bring more than 30 thinking that we will keep looking
until we find 30 items that we think will sell.. The rule is that we
look though not more than 30 items. Please do not bring more than 30 items with you
as we will not look at more than the first 30. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation, and thank you for taking the time to read all of the above. We really appreciate it.
