Sesame Street Playground is an exciting world music adventure
for kids, with each song and video produced in its country of origin.
Thirteen songs from Brazil, France, China, India, Israel, Mexico, the Netherlands, Palestine, Russia, South Africa and Tanzania
complement two from the U.S. flagship production. Listeners can sing
along to favorite songs such as "Rubber Ducky" in Chinese, while

WHY MUSIC?
Music
has the power to engage, relax, and energize us
and has been shown to make children smarter. In studies
conducted by early childhood specialists, preschoolers
who received regular music lessons over several months
showed marked advantages over their playmates who did
not. Children dramatically improved their abilities to
work mazes, copy patterns of color, and draw geometric
figures. These skills reflect spatial intelligence, the
foundation for more complex types of reasoning (such as
those used in math and science).
Music has been found to stimulate every area of the developing
brain, and similar studies with youngsters have linked
early musical exposure to superior motor skills and even
social abilities. Although the ability to learn continues
throughout life, hands-on participation in music between
the ages of three and ten seems to train the brain for
higher thinking, and children who miss out on the fun
of playing music may also miss some critical developmental
opportunities.
Essentially, music provides a healthy, natural and invaluable
opportunity for individual expression while encouraging
the development of the whole child, enhancing cognitive,
social, physical, and emotional skills.

It is wonderful!!
We have seen a magnificent increase in the number of parents who are interested in recycling their childre.n's clothing. On some consignment days there are more consignments than we can
possibly process in a timely manner.
We are
reminding you --and asking you to remind your friends-- that it is best if
you call before you head over to bring consignments --to ask if we
are able to take them. Thank you. :)

1. please do not park in the truck-turn-around,
and please use the back entrance for loading and un-loading only.
Please pull around front to park after unloading consignments.
2. please sort and count your items at home, as our consignment area is
small and gets congested. Additionally, we find that many people are
thinking that we will TAKE 30 items and
so they will bring more than 30 thinking that we will keep looking
until we find 30 items that we think will sell.. The rule is that we
look though not more than 30 items. Please do not bring more than 30 items with you
as we will not look at more than the first 30. Thank you.
