ArtOctober is National Arts & Humanities month and there are many arts events in Edmonds as the new season begins. Look for separate articles in this newsletter about many of them. Sept 30-Oct 2, 2011

WOTS sold out for the 3rd year in a row, bringing over 250 people to Edmonds each day on Saturday and Sunday, and almost 100 to the pre-conference workshops on Friday. Twenty-one participants came from 10 states around the U.S. and as far away as New Zealand, and about 25 people stayed in a hotel for one or more nights.

Thank you to the Steering Committee and Edmonds Arts Commissioners who put in many volunteer hours during the event and all year under the leadership of Kris Gillespie and Frances Chapin, to the 30+ informative presenters, the Community Sponsors (listed above), and all who attend the conference and made the 26th WOTS such a success. On their evaluation forms, attendees consistently site the affordability (made possible by our sponsors) and location of the conference as the main reasons they attend, enjoying our Summer Market, restaurants and shops at break times.
