New Transit Station Info Spurs Development

Recognizing the importance of transit stations as a
catalyst for development and redevelopment, MetroMSP.org has added features
that enable users to quickly identify and analyze transit-oriented development opportunities.
To access the new tools, click on the new transit button at the top of the MetroMSP home page. It takes you to a special transit landing
page with links to 12 current and proposed transit corridors. It also lets
you access helpful MSPProspector transit corridor features, including: - Transit corridor map layers that can be clicked on
and off for easy viewing
- Plans for the Hiawatha, Northstar and Central
Corridor transit station areas. Host cities will be adding plans for other corridors
in coming months.
- Prospector's powerful
analysis tools, which can be deployed around the station areas to identify
demographics, consumer expenditures, workforce and business information.

MSProspector Outperforms Peers in Usage Comparison
During its second full year of operation, MetroMSP
attracted up to four times more pageviews than three peer regions of similar
size that also use ZoomProspector technology. MetroMSP edged up its performance
in the "unique visitor" category - beating two of the three markets by 31-41%,
and showing well against a larger market that had established its website in
2003.
