Welcome to Storyboard! Welcome to Storyboard, our new approach for illustrating the future of what we call Health Entertainment Media. As we enter our fifth year of storytelling, Life Love & Health remains America's most listened-to daily health and lifestyle program, reaching over 6.1 million listeners on terrestrial or satellite radio, on the web, in retail-store broadcasts, or on custom webcast channels. You'll hear about challenges and choices, about serious medical conditions, radical priority shifts and quality of life issues. We tell the stories of things that unite us as human beings. And it's all about Life Love & Health.

Highlights of the Month "The Impact of Impaction" Dr. Michael Ellis of Louisiana State University Medical School has a solution for earwax buildup -- a saline solution, to be specific. It's part of a creative new system from Murine that flushes out the ear canal to preserve your hearing and your health.
"The 'Wow' Factor" At Community Hospital of Anderson, Indiana, President and CEO William Van Ness II wants you to feel like more than just another patient. Working with data gathered by Professional Research Consultants, Dr. Van Ness proves what he already learned as the son of a small town doctor: people love that personal touch.
"Women Empowered" American dentist Phil Borges traveled the world with his camera to document the stories of how women in developing countries beat the odds to better their communities. LLH host Alison Ewing offers a taste of Dr. Borges' stirring book Women Empowered: Inspiring Change in the Emerging World.
"In the Year 2030" Can you predict the circumstances of your own death? Maybe not, but in this featured installment of Springmann's Story, Christopher looks at current mortality statistics and projects them two decades down the road. But the future can be changed. New Year's Resolutions, anyone?

Telling Terrific Stories
We're proud to announce that Professional Research Consultants, Inc. is now featuring our full interview with Bill Van Ness (see above). "This interview was conducted by Christopher Springmann, host of XM Radio's Life, Love & Health," says Jill Reeves, PRC's Director of Communications. "Mr. Springmann and [PRC Marketing and PR Director] Janna Binder have been working this past year to identify PRC clients who have terrific stories to tell. Some of these stories are presented on Mr. Springmann's radio program." Visit PRC online to enjoy all four segments of this personable conversation. |
Coming in June 2008
Listen to your body. What do you hear? Body Language. Life Love & Health is moving ahead with plans for a one-hour weekly national show. Why Body Language? Because it reflects the public's increased commitment to what the Mayo Clinic calls "the new approach to using the best of natural therapies and conventional medicine." Body Language will define the conversation as alternative, complimentary and integrative approaches move from the edge to the center of people's perception about what American healthcare really is.

Looking Ahead: Why We're on the Web, Part Two
Sixty years ago TV was going to kill radio. Ten years ago the Internet was supposed to render all other media obsolete. So how is it that radio is still alive and relevant? Airtime Media recently reported a surge of online listeners when mid-December storms hit the Northeast. For terrestrial stations that offer streamed audio in the Philadelphia, New York and Boston radio markets, page views increased anywhere from 44% to 314%. Clearly, the audience is still there, even when they're engaging with the medium a little differently. That's just one more reason why Life Love & Health belongs online. We're happy to put your health messages out there because, yes, people are still listening.
