Welcome to Life Love and Health Since our launch in 2003, Life Love & Health has become America's most listened-to daily health and lifestyle program, reaching over 6.1 million listeners. Whether you listen on terrestrial or satellite radio, on the web, in retail-store broadcasts, or on custom webcast channels, this is the future of Health Entertainment Media. And it's all about Life Love & Health. |
Highlights of the Month "A Tough Year (Redux)" Last
year we aired an interview with Cam Underhill, a South Carolina nurse
diagnosed with breast cancer. We're replaying it this month in memory
of a fighter with a loving, positive spirit. Studer Group Charitable
Giving underwrote this moving tribute.
"Keeping Children Safe" We
all want to keep our children safe from scary things, but we don't want
to scare them about it. Nancy McBride, Safety Director of the National
Center for Missing and Exploited Children, talks about how winning our
children's trust is just as important as keeping them informed.
"Testosterone Replacement" If
you're not feeling as manly as you used to feel, don't be ashamed. Dr.
Alan Seftel at Cleveland's Case Western University Hospitals assures us
that testosterone levels are part of your total health picture. And
the American Urological Association Foundation encourages you take all
health issues seriously.
"Love and Chocolate" No, you don't have to choose between the two. Andre Crump, author of Chocolate French: Recipes, Language and Directions to Francais au Chocolat,
talks lovingly about the chemical pleasures dark chocolate brin gs to
our central nervous system. So food really does get you in the mood. |
News Flash Those 90-second shows are still a concise, elegant medium for LLH's message, but great things happen when we expand the format. Read on... |
Life Love & Health and the American Urological Association: Destination Communication in Action
In last month's newsletter, we described the practice of Destination Communication,
or how to make sure that our listeners will find more useful, in-depth
information when they visit the URL we announce in one of our 90-second
shows.
This month, we're proud to showcase our webcast on
urinary incontinence for the American Urological Association. For a
longer, fact-filled listening experience with RN Diane Newman and
Doctors Lawrence Ross and Janelle Foote, go to the Urology Spotlight
page at UrologyHealth.org and click on the title "Incontinence and the Experts."
"I
think it is outstanding," said Michael T. Sheppard, AUA's Executive
Director, when he heard what we did with these interviews. We
appreciate his assessment! Please listen to this webcast and imagine
what Life Love & Health could do for you...

 Looking Ahead
Here in the information age, health decisions no longer begin and end with a visit to the doctor. According to a report by the Pew Internet & American Life Project, half of American adults living with a disability or chronic disease spend significant time on the Internet, and 86% of that group does its health research online. They're seeking treatment options, support and information about no less than 17 major health topics. These numbers mean something to us at Life Love & Health as we broaden our focus to include webcasting as well as radio broadcasting. We're looking for new ways to get our stories -- and your messages -- into as many ears as possible.
