Time to Talk Water Safety
Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise for any dog. Because swimming is a non-weight-bearing activity, it strengthens the cardiovascular and muscular systems without placing stress on bones and joints
- Never leave your dog unsupervised. Every year, dogs drown in pools after becoming exhausted, trying to find their way out, even when stairs are available.
- Always have your dog wear a flotation device when boating.
- Always hose off your pet after swimming
- If boating, just know your dog may get sea sick as well.
Village Critter carries life jackets, water toys, water proof collars and anything else you may need for the season.
