Greetings!

We have an absolutely crazy March coming up, filled with exciting and important events so rather than regale you with an anecdotal story this month, please permit me to highlight the biggest events:

1) Executive Errands is a passionate supporter of the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce and we are hosting the Mayor's Breakfast on March 11th.  With about 1800 members, the PDCC is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, Chambers in the Desert.  All of our events are extremely well attended which provides effective networking opportunities.  The breakfast is held the second Tuesday of each month at Desert Willow Country Club and it begins at 7 am.  To reserve online, please visit www.pdcc.org or call Katie at 346-6111.

2) On March 15th, the Boys & Girls Club is holding their annual Grand Auction at the Hyatt Grand Champions in Indian Wells.  As mentioned last month, Executive Errands is donating a gift basket worth approximately $2000 and, along with EIS Business Solutions (www.eisbusinesssolutions.com), has donated an Olhausen Pool table and accessories valued at approximately $9000.  We are very excited to be participating in this important event and hope both gifts raise significant bids that will ultimately be used for the children.  For more info about the auction or to purchase a ticket, please contact Lucy Fox at 760.836.1160 x101 or [email protected] We hope to see you there!

3) The second Chamber event, the monthly mixer, is being held on March 19th at DirectBuy at 77742 Las Montanas.  As you may already know, Executive Errands is an approved vendor for DirectBuy, providing 'wait for delivery' services.  The mixer is held the third Wednesday of each month and averages about 250 people.  We will definitely be there to show our support for DirectBuy.

4) And last, but not least, March 24th through March 29th is Fashion Week El PaseoExecutive Errands is one of the sponsors for this event. We will be manning the ticket booth each day and, with My Chauffeur limousine service (www.mychauffeurlimo.com), have provided the limo services for head designer Eduardo Lucero.  This too is an exciting event and we are proud to be a part of it.  For more information about Fashion Week El Paseo, please visit www.fashionweekelpaseo.com.

While our goal is to be the leading Personal Concierge company in the Desert (and we continually work toward that goal by providing proactive and high quality services), we also believe it is equally important to give back to the community and to the businesses around us.  To that end, we are doing our best to support worthwhile and positive causes.  All of the logos for these events are displayed elsewhere in this newsletter.  Please mark your calendars and join us at these events.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Executive Errands - It's Tax Season

It's tax time and that means we're all looking for deductions.  Did you know Executive Errands services may be tax deductible?  That's right!  When you use us for your business or as an extension of you for your clients, we qualify as a tax deduction under 'the cost to do business'.  That can mean we are either a marketing expense or labor as cost of goods sold. Either way, that translates into a benefit for you tax-wise and a benefit for your clients as we help Simplify Their Lives.  This is a win-win!!

For our accountant friends who are up to your eyeballs in numbers and forms, we offer catering services so you don't have to leave your office for breakfast or lunch.  You might even be able to squeeze in another client or two by staying in instead of going out which will help offset the cost of catering.  We offer healthy alternatives to takeout and these services are available for any other businesses as well.

As always, we provide free consultations and free estimates760.469.2487 or www.executive-errands.com

CloverMarch is one of my favorite months not only because of St. Paddy's Day but because everything is green. If you've noticed the Executive Errands color scheme, it is obvious that green is my favorite color.  But when you look at our logo, what do you EE Iconsee?  Do you think it is a four leaf clover or a flower of some sort?  Not so. Look closer.  By design it is two E's facing one another and the space between them just happens to form what appears to be that four leaf clover.  A lucky and happy coincidence!

I actually believe we make our own luck.  If we work hard enough, trying every day to do something, anything that will bring us closer to our goals (be they personal or professional), eventually we will reach them.  And then, even though it may seem like we've had lucky breaks, in reality we achieved our goals through perseverance and tenacity.  That's not to say we do it alone.  One of my favorite maxims is to 'honor your sponsors' and by that I mean let us not forget our mentors and those who help us along on our path to success.

As always, you're welcome to contact me directly with comments or questions.  We look forward to working with you and hope to see you at some (or all) of our participating events this month.  Happy St. Paddy's Day - May the luck of the Irish be with you!

Sincerely,

Leslie Spoor ICEA
