Happy New Year!! We had an outstanding end to last year and are looking forward to what is sure to be a great 2008! We have so many new services and relationships, I'm not sure they'll all fit in this month's newsletter, but we're certainly going to try.
You know, we have so much to be thankful for here at Executive Errands. I thank the stars every day for the  successes we've enjoyed so far. One of the most unbelievable blessings came last month when I lost my calendar one chilly evening. I'm sure many of you understand how important a calendar is. I run my business by those pages and often don't even know what is scheduled until the morning of, when I do my prep work.
Well, one night last month after a PD Chamber ribbon cutting ceremony, I took my calendar out to make an appointment with another attendee. We kept visiting until I had to leave for the next meeting and I never gave another thought to the calendar - until 5 am the next morning when it wasn't in my briefcase. Panicked, I wracked my brain and remembered leaving it on the trunk of my car. On busy Dinah Shore Drive. Twelve hours before. Oh my goodness!!
Frantic and with my heart racing, I drove back to the site of the ribbon cutting - nope, it wasn't in the parking lot. Disappointed but resigned, I was grateful there were only a few weeks left in 2007. Worrying about the meetings I was going to miss and with a heavy sigh, I pulled back out onto Dinah Shore heading back the way I had come and to my utter disbelief, there was the calendar, sitting up in the middle of the road like a book on a shelf, shouting 'here I am! here I am!'.
Visualize this with me: 5 am, cold and dark, on Dinah Shore - how many cars ran over the calendar in the 12 hrs it sat there? Musta been quite a few from the condition of its spine and the tire tracks on the pages, but it was complete and still intact - and sitting right where my headlights couldn't miss it. Absolutely amazing and I was both thrilled and relieved. How lucky can one get!?!
Finding that calendar, against all odds, was just one more sign that we are on the right track. Executive Errands Goes Green!!
In an effort to do a small part for saving the environment, we'd like to introduce our friends at Coastal Recycling Center, an electronics recycling service.
With one phone call or email, Coastal Recycling Center will pickup, free of charge, all unwanted electronic equipment including:

A fresh new year, a new slate, and a calendar without tire tread marks! Yea!! It's that time when people make resolutions. I know resolutions are based in hope - hope that we can break bad habits, lose 15 lbs or exercise every day. I don't believe in resolutions much because often they are unrealistic and thus prone to failure which in turn has a negative impact in our lives.
It seems more logical to work at being a better person every day, to treat people with respect, to be honest, to work hard and above all else to maintain your integrity because at the end of the day, all we have is our integrity. Every one of these goals, even when the effort is slight, has a positive impact in our lives.
