ALPFA Tampa Bay Presents Fawn Germer's

You'll Never Learn to Fly with Your Feet on the Ground At The Third Annual Women of ALPFA Summit

The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) is proud to announce its third annual Women of ALPFA summit - You'll Never Learn to Fly with Your Feet on the Ground presented by Fawn Germer. The event will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, from 6:00pm - 8:30pm, at the Rusty Pelican, 2425 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

Fawn Germer (www.fawngermer.com), the evening's keynote speaker, is a four-time Pulitzer-nominated journalist and the bestselling author of Oprah-recommended books. Having interviewed countless world leaders, Fawn has learned how to take advantage of adversity and use it as a defining leadership opportunity. Fawn will explain the performance jolt needed in order to leave the ranks and excel without limits. Her discussion will highlight:

 How to make peace with self-esteem issues,

embrace who we are, and go for it.

 How to stop competing with each other and start propelling one another forward.

 How to give up perfection and be decisive.

 How to stop expecting others to see and reward ourhard work and start marketing our achievements.

The Women of ALFPA event ticket pricing for ALPFA members is $15 for professionals and $10 for students. The ticket pricing for non-members is $30 for professionals and $20 for students. A corporate table including 10 seats is $250. A discount is also available for members of certain professional organizations at $20 for individual tickets and $180 for a table of 10 seats. Please note that membership applications will be available at the event should you wish to become a member. Tampa Hispanics Strengthen, Restore & Connect with La Conexión Latina!  Every Sunday at 3:00 PM
La Conexion Latina

La Conexión Latina is a Christian Spanish Ministry for the Tampa Bay Hispanic Community, that holds services every Sunday at 3 PM. These services are presently held at the Without Walls International Church in Tampa, Florida (located near the intersection of Dale Mabry and Columbus at 2511 N. Grady Avenue 33607).

Dedicated to evangelism, restoration and a place where the Hispanic Community can learn the basic principles of how to live a prosperous and victorious life, "La Conexión Latina" makes a positive difference in the lives of many by expanding on their vision: Connect, Grow and Impact!

This vision began over 3 years ago with Pastors Miguel and Sandra Salas who saw a need for the Hispanic community to achieve and fulfill their destiny and purpose in their own lives. "We want to show Hispanics how to make a difference in their own life and in the life of others around them.  This is achieved by finding an intimate relationship with God," says Pastor Miguel Salas.

The Ministry consists of several other ministries, where the community can make a "Conexión," such as children classes  and childcare, men and women's outreaches, translators, help ministry, greeters, ushers, musicians and other artistic talents.  They have a variety of special events during the year for the whole family to enjoy such as group visits to Disney and other attractions, picnics, fishing, etc.
Their once a month fellowship event, "Cafe Caliente" which is held on the last Sunday of every month at 3pm.

For this monthly event, everyone can enjoy great music in several Latin genres, terrific conversations to strengthen the spirit and soul, make new "Conexions", and enjoy delicious Cuban coffee and bread with other delicacies!

In speaking about "La Conexión Latina," Pastors Miguel and Sandra mention that, "One of the things that set us apart is that we really care for each person as an individual." There are many hurting people out there and we are in the "restoring lives" business through and with the power of God.  Miracles are for today and God is a miracle working God and nothing is impossible for those that truly believe.  We have people from all backgrounds, ethnicity and even those that do not understand Spanish, but love the spirit in which the services are conducted. Everyone is welcomed and even if they do not speak or understand Spanish, "they will always feel at home."

"La Conexión Latina" services are always held in Spanish and provide English translation for those individuals that need it.  They also provide children's classes and childcare.

For more information call  813-870-7583 or write to laconexionlatina@withoutwalls.org.  Also they can be followed on Facebook, "La Conexión Latina".
