Greetings!
The year is off to a promising start and music is filling the air. Our first 3rd Monday Uke & Sing! at Traditions in Olympia turned into a full house of new players and together we played and sang song after song. People came from as far away as Mt. Rainier (a 90 minute drive one-way!) and as close as around the corner. Only a few familiar faces this time and the rest were all brand new. Guitar and fiddle joined in, too. Musical satisfaction filled the room with smiles, melodies and strumming strings. We'll continue our job as community harmonizers in the new Uke & Sing! tradition at Traditions through May so please gather with us to learn and play when you can.
By popular demand, we are also looking for a monthly place to do the same thing in Portland. We'll let you know what we find!
We are able to teach our Ukalaliens® Workshop in all settings so DO let us know if we can help your world grow more musical. We travel with two dozen+ ukuleles to share and it's always a positive experience - no experience needed! Ukalaliens® Community Harmonizers.
With the ukulele movement afoot, our full ensemble concerts are becoming especially harmonic! We hope you will join us when we come to town to sing for you with our double guitars and banjos in the mix along with the ukes and songs we bring.
Our intermediate uke class, a songwriting class, and a VoxBox singing class for beginners will begin soon at Yenney Music in Olympia. Check our website for more information and schedules TBA soon.
Thanks for being part of a growing community of harmonizers in the Great Northwest and beyond. It just gets better by the song and you're part of the reason. Keep singing, strumming and harmonizing. We'll look forward to harmonizing with you soon!
Musically yours,
-Kate & Steve
