Greetings!
We're heading east to New York this month to play some special shows wit friends at Caffe Lena with Walt Michael and at Beacon's Strawberry Festival on the Hudson River with Pete Seeger and Cabin Fever. Then we go to Woodstock and create Ukalaliens DVDs for Homespun with Happy Traum. This full-circle tour also includes a writers round at Roots Cafe in Brooklyn with Stumptown's ex-pat, Ryan Lamm and closes out the New York side of June with a very special concert at High Valley camp, the place where Steve first learned to play guitar in 1962, hosted by the Smythe family (who ran the camp) and the singing storytelling author of The Maeve Chronicles, Elizabeth Cunningham. This night will be resplendent with music, stories and unique historic references! After that, it's home, sweet home.
We return to Portland to play the new Alberta Rose Theatre with Anne Feeney & Dick Weissman on Wednesday, July 7. Hope to see you there!
The Sitka Center in Otis, Oregon is hosting us for music and Ukalaliens Workshops in its idyllic retreat setting on July 8 & 9th! Details soon on our web calendar!
Next we head to Fishtrap for a week of "Spirit & Matter" after the Lavender Daze festival where we'll play amidst the purple haze overlooking Hood River, or you can join us at the end of July to sing around the campfire at Oxbow Park on 7/30!
Speaking of Fishtrap, the songwriting guru for this exquisite all-writers retreat is Cosy Sheridan. The theme of "Matter & Spirit" translates into craft and inspiration in the hands of this multi-awarded songwriter. There is room for YOU in this intimate setting so go for it, sign up today and write some great songs at Fishtrap. This will be a good one!
Rosalie Sorrel's has recovered from her bout with the flu that prevented her from starring at Fishstock last month. Thanks for your many good wishes to Rosalie!
