Greetings! Thursday at Costello's we are plugging in and taking a roomful of Portland's finest (that's you) with us into the joyful space of singing songs and playing together.

We will bring our fleet of Kala ukes for the uninitiated and the uke-curious and teach you enough to get you up and running for the night. No charge. Just tips. Let's play!
In times like these it can be hard to remember the pure joy that comes with making music. Then again, maybe it's the one thing we remember most and savor. We turn up our favorite music, soothing the beast of pressure tapping its foot for us to get back to the tasks, details and bills weighing in on our minds daily.
Turn that tapping foot to music and waltz to the songs. Come sing! Bring your friends and play with us at Costello's for two more Thursdays in January from 7-9PM. Good medicine to brighten your spirits!
Bring your Rise Up Singing songbook. Bring your instrument (accordions, harmonicas, mandolins, banjos, guitars, ukuleles ALL welcome!)
If you're curious about what we've been up to and what it's really like, we invite you to visit our BLOG . You can see some of the pictures from our trip by pressing the Flickr button on the homepage of our website at Quality Folk.
Lots of links to our YouTube videos. If you want a good chuckle, here's a spontaneous serenade in the Avenue of the Giants as the Ukalaliens play to the redwoods captured onYouTube. (Yes, that's a puppy hat on my head!) Don't forget to sing! Hope to see you soon. - Kate & Steve
