Greetings!
The kitchen is bustling at sister Mary's in Los Osos, California today, Thanksgiving. We have made it this far, at this count almost 10,000 miles. To each and all of you friends who contributed to our fuel fund, THANK YOU! We would NOT have gotten this far without you and that's the truth. Our road runner is running great. We've had a couple of stops at the mechanic but each time it's been in a safe setting and we've felt protected as we covered the country. Your good thoughts are keeping us going in the right direction (along with "Serena", our GPS). THANK YOU!
We thought for all these miles we were getting 10mpg. After working out the numbers so far, it's actually 12mpg. That may not seem like a lot but we're grateful for every mile.
We are thinking of you along the way, across every mile and at every stop. As soon as I can figure out how to access our pictures (argh!) we will send you a real update on every day and destination in the blog. Thanks for being so patient to hear the story. It is truly an adventure. One thing we can say is that there are good people and we are meeting them at every turn. Check our tweets (!) and facebook for spontaneous uploads daily :o).... Somehow, the urge for making music together and with others just grows. We are not tired, we are energized. This is a remarkable journey.
Now it's time to put the computer away and help in the kitchen. We are remembering each of you today with thanks, love and songs. Thank you for returning the favor!
