PORTLAND, OREGON - Warming up before taking off on an extended Fall music tour, folksingers Kate Power & Steve Einhorn share their most popular pastime by bringing the "Quality Folk Happy Hour" to the Airplay Cafe on Tuesday evenings starting on May 19 through August 25, 2009.
Mentored by the grandfather of folk, Pete Seeger, Power & Einhorn bring their veteran chops to the Airplay Cafe stage with banjos, guitars and ukuleles in hand to serve as house band, coaches and song leaders for voices of all stripes and experience.
Kate & Steve will kick off at 6:30PM with their own duet happy-hour set, giving the audience a chance to unwind and listen until 7:30PM when they will open the floor for vocal warm ups and group singing into the evening. Gentle coaching, house band and a group-friendly repertoire will be provided to satisfy the shyest singer along with the most experienced voices. "Making beautiful music with everybody", all are welcome to participate. Beer, wine and food is available. No music experience necessary.

The "Quality Folk Happy Hour" is open to the public and all ages. $5 per person, $10 per family. Bring a copy of the "Rise Up, Singing!" songbook (available at Artichoke Music).
