Just about a year ago, Steve Richmond (brother of the late & great Portland musician, Fritz Richmond) bought a ukulele from us to bring to a little boy named Buster back in Chuuk, Micronesia. Steve has been living there for many years and
knew from the songs Buster was making up that there was something special about this boy. Buster took to the uke like a fish to water and his songs are pouring out of him. TONIGHT Buster will open the Friday Night Coffeehouse and Steve and Kate will be there to lend him some string support. Come hear this extraordinary 12-year old play his first stage in the whole world onstage at the Backgate! 7PM. See you there!
