Lights Launch the Season
Music, Merriment & Memories
Drop everything this Third Thursday, November 17 and spend it in Downtown Ferndale where merchants have been busy preparing for the holiday season. Enjoy an evening of refreshments, entertainment and new holiday lights throughout the district. Bring friends, families, neighbors. Visit your favorite shops. Join in the downtown stroll at 8 pm with the Music Messengers -- you'll hear them coming. Join in the fun and help make a great memory.
The lights will be on, the music will be playing and the fun begins at 6 pm.
Extras:
- Do your charitable giving in Downtown Ferndale! Make-A-Wish stars will be available at businesses all around town.
- Send a cool new message with Downtown Ferndale's latest creation -- greeting cards featuring historical photos. Price is $5 for a set of 5. Available at select merchants. Proceeds benefit the Ferndale DDA Lighting program.

Pay By Phone Parking Lets Guests Stay & Play Make your visit to DowntownFerndale worry free and sign up for Parkmobile, a new pay by phone parking program that puts an end to meter-feeding.
It's easy to sign up and even easier to use. Register at www.parkmobile.com. Then, next time you park, log on with the free smart phone app and "start parking." Fifteen minutes prior to your time in the zone maxing out, you'll receive a text message notification. You can also use the system by calling 1-800-280-4146. Parkmobile will be officially launched at 4 pm, Thursday, November 17 in front of Elegance by Design at 231 W. Nine. Join in the celebration with special guests Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, Ferndale Mayor Dave Coulter and many others.

Been Thinking About Your Downtown?
The Ferndale Downtown Development Authority wants to know what you think about your downtown neighborhood and invites you to share at its series of Community Needs Forums.
The Forum for North Woodward neighborhoods will be held Monday, November 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Woodward Avenue Candy Shop. Spend an evening looking at what's been done and identiying areas that need more work. Your ideas will help shape future plans for the city. i
The Forum for South Woodward neighborhoods will be held Monday, November 5, also from 6:30 to 8:30 at St. James Church Community Center.
