Color on the sidewalks and a show of creativity -- that's what the volunteers of the Ferndale DDA Design Committee were dreaming of when they came up with Pimp Your Pot. Participating businesses build planters in the image of their business personality, fill them with blooms and keep them in plain sight all summer long.

You, the consumer, will decide which business did it the best by voting for your favorite on the Downtown Ferndale facebook page. Of course, the pictures won't do them justice so please come on downtown to take an up close look.

While you are here, head over to Schiffer Park (Planavon & West Nine) and pimp a pot to take home - for FREE.   Green Thumb Indoor Garden Center has provided some extra seed packets and containers for you; and the Cupcake Station has promised a FREE cupcake to any child who shows off his/her creation.  The kids could even create a special pot, just for DAD.  Plus, Greenleaf Bodywork will be providing FREE chair massages.

PYP from 6-9.  Ride your bike into town or just walk up -- it's going to be another great night in Downtown Ferndale.
