Ride Your Bike to Town!
Nationally, May is Bike Month, this week is Bike to Work Week and Friday, May 20 is Bike to Work Day. Pedal into Downtown Ferndale this Third Thursday, May 19, park in dedicated spaces on West Nine and around town, register for a bike license (in front of the DDA, 149 W. Nine Mile Rd.), adjust your helmet, get a free bike safety check at the Downtown Ferndale Bike Shop and pick up the new Bicyclists' Guide to Downtown Ferndale, complete with a map and great advice. All free, all good fun. Come on down! |

Spring Into Health Festival
The 2011 Spring Into Health Festival will be held from 10 am to 2 pm,Saturday, May 21 in the parking lot of the Ferndale Medical Center at 631 W. Nine Mile Rd. Proceeds from the event, which includes a silent auction, will benefit Relay for Life. The Festival will focus on health choices.

93rd Annual Memorial Day Parade The Memorial Day Parade officially starts at 10 am, Monday, May 30th on Livernois at West Breckenridge, and heads north, east on Maplehurst, south on Woodward, west on 9 Mile, and south on Livernois, ending at the Memorial Mall in front of the Ferndale Fire Station Number 1. Be sure to attend the longest running Memorial Day Parade in the state of Michigan! |

Art Walk launch day is Saturday, May 21st, noon to 4 pm. Maps will be available in town and art will be on display for two weeks, with a grand finale on June 4th. Details on  .
