As usual, there's always something happening in Downtown Ferndale and we know you are busy so...

1 - HOUSEKEEPING

Trash - Business trash MUST go in the dumpsters.  Street trash bins are for consumers, your clients.  If you don't know which dumpster to use, call us at 248-546-1632.  

More Trash - With winter behind us (almost), the melting snow has left lots of debris in the streets and sidewalks.  Worry Free is working hard to clean it up, but feel free to grab a broom and sweep the sidewalk in front of your store.  A little bit of clean can go a long, long way! (Sparkling windows are nice, too!)

Sign Time - Sandwich board/sidewalk sign permit renewals are now due.  File at City Hall.

Downtown Ferndale Al Fresco - April 15 is the day to welcome outdoor dining and our patios are back in business.  Let us know yours is open and we'll share.

April 16 - April 22 - Think Green Week is 7 days devoted to preserving resources and being kind to Mother Earth. Take the "green" survey from the Ferndale Environmenal Sustainability Committee, arriving by eblast next week.  Attend the Earth Day Party.  Share with your customers. 3 - Back to the Near Future - Make Your Business Plans Now!

 

May 18 - Spring Times 2011.  Downtown Ferndale's bi-annual publication hits this day.  Advertising ops available at a great price.  Call Chris Hughes, 248-546-1632,  for details.

 

May 19 - Third Thursday/Bike Night - Two-wheeling cyclists will take over the town that Thursday night.  Welcome them and your customers who choose pedal power over engine power.  Parking spots will be saved, rides are planned.  More details coming.

May 30 - Memorial Day Parade.  Honor the USA & our heroes and hang your flag.  (It would be so great if EVERYONE had a flag for Memorial Day!) 

June 3, 4 & 5 - Ferndale Pride WILL happen with parades and marches and rallies.  Look ahead and plan to be open late, join in the festivities and participate in every way you can. Details are bding finalized and added, even as you read.   

June 16 - Pimp Your Pot Vote Night.  The date changed to allow merchants more time (and better weather) to pretty up their pots and get the content growing.  Again, details will be coming your way soon.

July 15-July 17 - Live Green Fair - A new event all about green living.

July 21 - Fido Does Ferndale.  A BowWow favorite -- humans like it, too!

July 29 - 15th Annual Pub Crawl.  A rollicking good time for all!

July 30 - Pig & Whiskey.  Yup!  Something fun with barbecues and booze.  Details coming.
