| Lean Delivers Competitive Advantage |
 |
|
Principles of Lean used effectively give an
organization a performance-based
process to increase competitive advantage.
Employing basic continuous improvement processes,
lean organizations focus on the elimination of
waste or non-value added steps within an
organization. To be successful, organizations must
develop a culture that will create and sustain
long-term commitment from top management through
the entire workforce. Click the link below to download
a whitepaper from Development Dimensions
International (DDI) on the techniques organizations
use to effectively deploy Lean in their organizations.

| Partners in Success |
 |
|
Quality Packaging and Moraine Park
established their partnership in 2004 and, at
that time, Quality Packaging was experiencing
tremendous growth. According to Kevin Wills
of Quality Packaging, "We were looking at
putting on about 50 new employees and had grown
from 50 employees up to 150. We started with some
of the basic skills training that would help teach our
employees basic math, basic computer skills and
things that we needed to help implement some of the
systems that we were putting in place here. The basic
skills training works with our production and line
leader class of employees and really helps them gain
the confidence that they need to do the job well."
