Upcoming TOUCHPOINT EVENTS for Students, Mentors, Schools, and Families   

Touchpoint: Cultural Event at Medieval Times  

Transportation Costs

Starting in January, 2012, all UCW and Urban Prep-Englewood students will need to pay a bus fee of $6 to ride the bus to Touchpoint events.  If students have inconsistent attendance at the After School Leadership Institute and the Touchpoint Events they will be charged $10.     

Hear the author of "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" Speak On January 26th at Northwestern University

For those students and Mentors who have enjoyed reading Rebecca Skloot's "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks", please try to attend the this unique event being hosted by Northwestern University on Thursday, January 26th.  This special event featuring author, Rebecca Skloot, is FREE to the public and will held from 4:30 - 6:00pm on the Northwestern Evanston campus.  Mentors are encouraged to consider using this event as a great opportunity for 1 on 1 time with your student!

Touchpoint: AIM High Career Fair

INFORMATION FOR MENTORS

Date: Thursday February 2nd, 2012

Time: 6:00pm - 9:30pm

Location: Medieval Times in Schaumburg

Who's Invited: All AIM High Students, Mentors and School Liaisons

Transportation: provided for CTD, GWCP, NLCP and Urban Prep-Bronzeville students.  Students coming from UCW and Urban Prep -Englewood campuses pay $6 or $10 depending on prior attendance.

Cost: Free to all AIM High Students 

This amazing, fun-filled event will be unlike any other. We'll journey back in time for a terrific evening of delicious food, entertainment, and fun! Students will depart schools in time to ensure all arrive when the castle gates open at 6pm.  Great food and much fun await so be sure to register today!

UCW & URBAN PREP ENGLEWOOD PARENTS:

In order for Companies That Care to provide bus service for your UCW and Urban Prep-Englewood students, we will need a minimum of 3 parents to join us as chaperones for the evening.  There is no charge for parents, however, all will need to register no later than January 30^th so that buses can be ordered in time.  Please register on the website and then contact Syndhia Javier at 312-661-1010 to confirm your availability to help.

AIM High Career Fair

Date: Wednesday, February 15

Time: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm 

Location: Chicago Cultural Center 78 E. Washington Street, Chicago 

Who's Invited: All AIM High Students and their Mentors

Transportation: provided for CTD, GWCP, NLCP and Urban Prep-Bronzeville students.  Students coming from UCW and Urban Prep -Englewood campuses pay $6 or $10 each depending on prior attendance. Students depart for Career Fair at 4:30pm and will return to schools for pick up at 8:30pm.

Cost: Free to all AIM High Students & Mentors
