Six Sigma Green Belt classes begin January 20, 2011
Be sure to join us on Thursday, January 20 at DVIRC headquarters in Philadelphia for the start of our next Six Sigma Green Belt Certification program. Led by a Master Black Belt, the program introduces the DMAIC methodology and enables attendees to better control processes, cut costs and save time. Through the classroom-based portion of our program, candidates learn from not only the instructors-all of whom speak from their years of manufacturing experience-but their classmates as well. "It's key to have Master Black Belts who have been there and can show you how [Six Sigma] applies in the real world," said one recent attendee, adding, "I learned through watching my classmates learn too."
In fact, past attendees report a return that is both immediate and significant: "We project our annual savings to be in excess of $200,000." "If we have an equipment breakdown, [now] we can determine how often it happens and what other things are influencing it...there's a cost savings associated with that, and it could be thousands of dollars." "[the] biggest return on investment was the fact that I was able to make a difference and make people's jobs easier through my project." "It paid for the course 20 times over." The Green Belt Certification is intended for anyone-from production to quality, office to finance-who seeks to better understand their own business processes in order to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
