Hi Everyone, Happy Spring! I took a couple of weeks off in March which felt pretty darned good, got to do some relaxing and writing and spent time with family and friends. Speaking of friends, I did a guest turn on Jim Peterik's Lifeforce show in IL which was really nice and it was close to home.
I also had a great gig in Dallas at the
Bishop Arts Theater...those Dallas folks
really know how to make you feel welcome!
Some of our long-time fans were there
especially (Anita and Terry, thanks
for your ongoing support!)
and we met some terrific folks who are new fans
now...the hospitality and weather were the
best..,
couldn't ask for more! Special thanks to
Cameron Smith who's the host with the
most, and Michael Bacon who made sure
everything behind the scenes was tight.

WNUA 95.5 Chicago experienced a "first" on March 25 when PD Derrick Brown and APD Glenn Cosby hosted Nick for a live performance in the Coca Cola Lounge located in the Clear Channel offices. The Coke Lounge has been used for appearances by R&B artists in conjunction with urban stations WGCI and WVAZ (V103) but Nick's show was the first by any jazz artist. WNUA air personality Karen Williams (co-host of The Ramsey Lewis Show) introduced Nick and he went on to play several tunes off his latest cd on EI (formerly Koch Records), NO LIMITS as well as earlier hits and his vocal "Rainy Night in Georgia". The audio portion of the performance was streamed "live", and the photo and video gallery of Nick's visit is now up on the WNUA homepage. Nick's single "No Limits" is currently #2 on the WNUA playlist.
Nick's current single "No Limits" is #7 globally on the RadioWave.com Smooth Jazz/Fusion chart, with over 400,000 streams. It's been on the chart for 32 weeks...thanks, world! This chart measures internet and satellite radio airplay, including Live365, XM/Sirius, AOL, MTV, Rhapsody and more. This chart captures and records more than 4,000,000 titles each week, from more than 4,800 monitored Internet and Satellite broadcasts. It is the world's largest airplay monitoring and information service.
Michael Tozzi's ijazzglobal.com has put up another great video of Nick "live". Says Michael...."Guitarist Nick Colionne performed a haunting version of "Rainy Night In Georgia" aboard the Smooth Music Cruise to a wonderful crowd."
